Follow Up is KEY to Making The Sale – Tip #18

Did you know that it typically takes a minimum of 5-7 “touches” or follow ups before a customer will actually buy your product? Follow up is KEY. If you are not following up with people who have shown an interest in your product, reminding them how and why they should buy, then you have wasted all the effort and money you put in to getting that person to your website in the first place.

You should set up a system so that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel for every customer. It is useful to use different types of media in that system (email, video, direct mail, phone calls, faxes, text messaging). Tie them together by letting people know to look for the next email, video, text message, etc. You should also have each message in they system build on the last. Read the rest of this entry »
