Loco Roco 21One of the most important and effective things you can do to increase the effectiveness of your marketing is to connect with other people. The whole reason social media is so successful is because people like to interact with other people. It’s a basic premise of human survival. Becoming an active, supportive part of your online community will lead people to trust you and they will be much more likely to support your own business and marketing efforts if you have supported them in the past.

Spend time talking to other people about themselves. Don’t just go to Facebook to post your own status update and hope that other people will start talking about it. Reach out to people you think may ultimately be interested in your product. Comment on their status, write on their wall, ask them how they are doing and what they are up to.
